AP Top 25 poll preview: Alabama loss will change the top 5 and USF’s loss opens up race for G5 bid
Associated Press poll leaders Ohio State, Indiana and Texas A&M are prohibitive favorites in their games Saturday and No. 10 Texas’ game at No. 5 Georgia will be in the spotlight.
Texas A&M maintained its standing in the top three after a comeback win over South Carolina, while Texas Tech moved up two spots to No. 6. Oklahoma is also in the top 10 after its upset of Alabama. Meanwhile, Texas fell to No. 17 after its stumble on the road at Georgia.

However, when they face UConn, Michigan certainly can prove that they are worthy of voters’ high regard. Big 12 teams moved up a combined 13 spots in the AP poll, while West Virginia debuted at No. 23. No conference member slid from their prior spot, either.
Here's an updated look at the women's college basketball top 25 following the release of the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll and AP Top 25:
One of the biggest winners of last week was Louisville. The Cardinals jumped six spots to No. 6 after defeating in-state rival Kentucky 96-88 behind the brilliance of star freshman Mikel Brown Jr. The former five-star recruit scored a team-high 29 points in the win over the Wildcats. Kentucky dropped three spots to No. 12 after the loss.
Two weeks into the women's college basketball season and some things look clear, including the top five in the AP poll.
The Wildcats take a tumble in the rankings ahead of their next Top 25 battle with Michigan State on Tuesday night.
