The week delivered fireworks in the Big Ten Conference. Indiana survived an upset scare against Penn State with an incredible last-second touchdown. Oregon did similarly on the road at Iowa, though it did so with a rain-soaked 39-yard field goal. Those two teams remained firmly in the hunt for a Big Ten with the statement road wins.
The SEC had a painless weekend, while the Big Ten's chance of sending at least four teams to the Playoff took a hit.
Oregon won 18-16 over Iowa on Saturday, Nov. 8. Dante Moore led Oregon with 112 yards on 13-of-21 passing (61.9%) for no touchdowns and one interception. He also carried the ball four times for 46 yards. Whittington carried the ball 17 times for 118 yards, adding two receptions for four yards. Jamari Johnson had four receptions for 36 yards.
