CHICAGO – A Border Patrol agent cracking down on immigration in Chicago appeared to brag about shooting a woman he said assaulted him, according to text messages obtained by USA TODAY.

A federal agent enforcing Donald Trump’s violent mass deportations in Chicago bragged about shooting a woman in text messages to his fellow agents.

“This is a guy that’s working in your community,” Parente said.
