Preliminary reports indicated one of the vehicles was traveling southbound in the northbound lane of Route 41.

LAKE BLUFF, Ill. - A driver was killed in a two-car front-end crash in north suburban Lake County early Sunday morning. Lake Bluff police said the crash happened shortly before 5 a.m. on northbound Illinois Route 41 south of Illinois Route 176.

Four people, including two Chicago police officers, were injured after a crash on the West Side Wednesday night, police said.

Both the eastbound and westbound Eisenhower were shut down between 25th Avenue and Mannheim Road, state police said.

The person was struck and killed in the westbound lanes of the Eisenhower near 25th Street about 7 p.m. after crossing over the center median, Illinois State Police said. They were struck after several vehicles crashed while in the eastbound lanes of traffic of the Eisenhower,

Illinois State Police said, after a crash on the eastbound lanes of expressway near 25th Street in Broadview, someone from one of vehicles ended up on the other side of the median and was hit and killed by a car in the westbound lanes.
