Aaron Rodgers delivers firm stance on Matt LaFleur's future with the Packers and shares blunt reality about today's NFL
Aaron Rodgers might be out of the NFL soon or not after the Pittsburgh Steelers' 2025 season ended with a playoff loss to the Houston Texans on Monday night. But the quarterback is still very vocal about what he's seen around the league.
Turns out, Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson doesn't hate every opposing coach he's set to face in the playoffs. Just days after Johnson's actions with Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur raised eyebrows, the Bears' coach had nothing but good things to say about his next opponent, Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay.
Despite reports involving Matt LaFleur's hot seat and uncertain future following Green Bay's 31-27 wild-card loss to the Chicago Bears in the NFL playoffs, the Packers are expected "to try to work out a deal in the coming days," ESPN reports.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have lost another NFL playoff game in the past seven years. Two days earlier, the Green Bay Packers also lost their Wild-card matchup. This loss by one of the top head coaches- Mike Tomlin and Matt Lafleur- in the league has sparked firing rumors.
Another debacle finish in Chicago has put the spotlight on LaFleur's future in Green Bay, with the final year of his contract looming.
The handshake that Johnson and LaFleur had on Saturday night was actually their third of the season. Their first meeting came in Week 14, when the Packers defeated the Bears, 28-21. This postgame embrace came off a bit icy as well.
If the Packers were to move on from Matt LaFleur, it would add the biggest twist yet to an already shocking NFL coaching cycle.
