US President Donald Trump has said he is "unhappy" with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and may even launch fresh sanctions on Moscow as ceasefire talks continue to stall. Just hours after a phone call between the two leaders on Thursday, Russia hit Ukraine with a huge air barrage, targeting Kyiv and other major cities.

Expressing frustration after a call with Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump said the U.S. is considering new sanctions against Russia. Trump accused Putin of wanting to “keep killing people."

Russia launched a record number of drones at Ukraine overnight into Friday, striking multiple buildings and residential areas, hours after US President Donald Trump said he had made “no progress” towards a ceasefire deal in a phone call with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
