Subaru had a conundrum in the late 2010s. Outback and Forester families loved their vehicles, but they were outgrowing them. Subaru needed a larger three-row option to keep those customers in Subarus.

Going into 2024, three-row crossover SUVs will remain a staple of the North American automotive market. Sure, they won't save the planet or encourage the most extreme adventures on mountain trails.
