The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a ground stop at Nashville International Airport due to weather.
The federal government is ordering flight cuts at 40 major airports because of the shutdown – but it’s flyers in places like Pensacola, Florida; Moline, Illinois; Waco, Texas; and Shreveport, Louisiana who will have it the hardest.
This morning, hundreds of flights at some of the busiest airports in the nation are now cancelled amid the ongoing government shutdown. The head of the Federal Aviation Administration says this unprecedented move is meant to alleviate stress on air traffic controllers who have been working without pay for 38 days.
