Shane van Gisbergen is on the pole for The Loop 110 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on July 5 at the Chicago street course. SVG, making his first Xfinity start of the season, qualified early in the first group and posted a lap of 1:30.

Shane van Gisbergen completed a weekend sweep at the Chicago Street Race and became the second racer to win both races from the pole.

Since the inaugural event two years ago, the Cup and Xfinity series have been affected by inclement weather. After both series’ races were shortened by thunderstorms in 2023, the Cup Series ended 17 laps short of the full distance last year because of rain delays.
