Americans see inflation as the leading issue President-elect Donald Trump should tackle during his first 100 days in office, according to a Reuters/Ipsos published on Tuesday.

Trump's election victory was a product of voter discontent with the state of the country, the economy and a desire for change, and he made inroads with some Democratic groups.

The Dallas County Commissioners Court on Tuesday certified the results of the Nov. 5 general election despite problems during voter check-in that resulted in thousands of people voting with incorrect ballots and more than 200 ballots remaining missing.

The results mark a stark shift from 2020, when 69% of Muslim Americans voted for President Joe Biden and 17% voted for Trump. This movement away from the Democratic party was fueled, at least in part, by the U.S. government’s support for Israel’s war in Gaza, Robert McCaw, CAIR’s national government affairs director, said in a news release.

The 25-year-old is charged with "interference with conduct of election," a charge which has not been used in Hamilton County in at least five years.

Chuck Curmi was running unopposed for supervisor and he received 98.2% of the vote. He defeated incumbent Kurt Heise in a heated primary in August.

The latest poll, however, shows women up by six percentage points — 80% women to 74% men. With the gender gap reflecting in voting patterns, this could give insight to voter turnout and offer an early clue as to how the race will pan out, according to experts.

With all eyes on Pennsylvania, officials across the commonwealth oversaw a relatively smooth Election Day. And despite occasional local issues ranging from bomb threats to power outages, the state largely averted many of the concerns that lingered from previous elections.
