The Nov. 4, 2025 local elections are being conducted primarily by mail. It’s now too late to return ballots by mail. Instead, voted ballots need to be dropped off at a county elections office or designated polling place before polls close at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
No major Montana races are currently eligible for a recount, though vote counts are considered unofficial until canvassing is completed later this month. But a recount did happen this time last year.
