The Southern California man allegedly behind a ransom note hoax in the Nancy Guthrie case appeared in federal court in Tucson on Thursday.

Derrick Callella has been released from federal custody after being charged with sending a hoax ransom message to the family of missing Nancy Guthrie.

"This is the only thing that will bring them forward," Rami Igra told Page Six in an exclusive interview Thursday.
