Going into 2026, try your best to see the beauty in the regular, day to day moments. The moments that don’t necessarily stand out. While I was looking through my camera roll from 2025, my favorite clips were the ones that were kind of boring. Just witnessing the animals exist in peace is the whole point of this, right? It’s the whole point of creating a sanctuary for them — so that they can live normal lives with no worries. We didn’t rescue them for any other reason than for them to live their

Two years after the day she was rescued, Cecilia is thriving here in sanctuary. Thank you to everyone who supports our mission here at Rancho Relaxo. It allows us to give permanent safe haven to animals in need. 😭💜 #animalrescue #animallovers #farmsanctuary | Rancho Relaxo

If you think $1 doesn’t help, you’re wrong. It takes a village. If 3,300 people donate $1 … hay bill covered. Completely covered! I wasn’t going to make a Valentine’s Day post but HAY!, why not? As most of you know, Simon is just a baby and was recently on his way to slaughter before we intercepted and brought him to safety. The only way we can help animals like him is through your support and donations. When we rescue an animal, they stay in sanctuary with us FOR LIFE — which is beyond costly.

*A horse’s average lifespan is around 25 years old! Levon is nearly 40!* Come hang with Levon and me for a minute while we speak about longevity in sanctuary. Longevity in multiple forms. When new residents come to Rancho Relaxo, we want to ensure that they are cared for for their entire life, whether it’s four years or forty. Monthly support ( patreon.com/boochaces ) is integral to allowing for us to properly budget and plan. i can not express my gratitude enough for all the support we have rec

A huge thank you to Vin for turning this final pumpkin smash day of the season into a tradition we all look forward to. All of these pumpkins were collected as donations over the last couple of weeks by him and transported down to the sanctuary so the animals could enjoy! 🎃🍂❄️ We couldn’t do this life-saving work without donations of all forms. Thank you so much! | Rancho Relaxo

Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday and I want to kick it off by talking about a case we have been working on quietly for a few months. Your donations toward our mission allow us to help animals in need behind the scenes like this. 💜 Eversole and Pogo were rescued years ago by another sanctuary where they grew up together and formed a deep bond. Recently, this sanctuary endured a tragic loss. They were then forced to close their doors permanently. This left Eversole and Pogo facing separation. It is ver

I wanted to give a full recap and update of Blue Blast’s journey! Back in 2023, she was rescued from a neglect case. She was kept here at the sanctuary in protective custody for months before we got the call that she was officially signed over to our care permanently. Today, she is thriving. She has human friends, horse friends and consistent meals. She will never ever have to worry again. We love you, BB! So proud of you. #animalrescue #farmsanctuary #horses #animallovers | Rancho Relaxo

the last few weeks have been filled with the hardest work we have done in our time in rescue. from frozen pipes, snowstorms, and just struggling to get around the property, every minute of the days have been filled with stress, struggle and eventual success as we care for all of our animal residents. unfortunately, as we work outside, we are losing monthly supporters and we do not know what to do. it is very hard to focus on fundraising when you don’t have the hours in the day to ensure you get

Moose is always good for a laugh when the rainy days get long and the water starts to soak into my boots. Moose was failed twice previously in his life, until we stepped in. Destined for the auction because his wry-nose brings with it too many medical concerns and his life was seen as less valuable than a “healthy” horse. A few years after he was rescued from auction, he ended up having to be rescued from a neglect case/someone pretending to be a hero. Fast forward to today, and Moose has his ow

I got so emotional editing this video. 2025 was one of the most excruciating years to date — but going through the clips of Wimpy thriving in it made all of the lows feel less heavy. Wimpy got to experience 2025 and that in itself is testament to his will to live and the work we do for animals in need here at the sanctuary. I am so proud of him and everyone who makes our mission possible. Thank you all for being here. Thank you for sticking by us in 2025. We hope to see you on our journey into 2
