Of course it's not the light that's hard but the edges of the shadows and even then there's lots of variations in how sharp you want those edges to look. We got through a lot of looks in 60 minutes. On camera flash, off camera bare flash, beauty light and super sized softboxes. This setup is a variation of classic beauty lighting but rather than placing a reflector below the model I used a couple of black high gloss floor tiles which acted as a fill light and gave an amazing reflection.

Well, I added two creative elements. First is my tried and trusted stack of old books props. They tell a story (obviously) but also give your model something to interact with.
