In 1975, David Pryor was inaugurated as governor of Arkansas at the Old State House in Little Rock. After beating Orval Faubus in the primary and Ken Coon in the election, Pryor succeeded Dale Bumpers and became the 39th governor of Arkansas. Pryor continued his career in politics with his election to the US Senate in 1978, serving three terms. This clip comes from our KATV collection, which was recently published on our website.
