New Park Dedicated in Lathrop Earlier today, the city of Lathrop dedicated a brand-new, state-of-the-art community park in honor of one of its earliest and long-standing Black-American families who settled in Lathrop in the 1940s. The park will bear the name “Missionary Minnie Lee Cotton Park,” in tribute to this family’s legacy. Present at the dedication ceremony was her granddaughter, Minnie Diallo, who also serves as the current Lathrop Councilmember, representing the city with pride. #lathro
