What a beautiful sight and sound! History in the making this week on our Southern Steam Spectacular tour of regional Victoria. This footage is from Wycheproof where the railway line runs through town up the middle of the Calder Highway! Steam rail volunteers took 4 months to repair the hand-operated turntable that last operated in 2005! Previously passengers had to travel backward on their return journey. I would recommend having your volume up for this one! Last weekends 'Giants of Steam' Gala at the Bluebell Railway, saw a gathering of four 21st century new build steam locomotives. All 80 original Grange class locomotives were scrapped, so the 6880 Betton Grange Society Ltd decided to build a new locomotive, to fill an important gap in Great Western history. 6880 "Betton Grange" was completed in 2024, and is seen here making a very noisy departure away from Horsted Keynes yesterday morning. #st
