Taoiseach Micheál Martin has said that he did not put extensive pressure on Fianna Fáil party members to select Jim Gavin for the presidential election. The families of the Disappeared have made an appeal for information that could help them recover their loved ones as they gathered for their annual commemoration at Stormont.
